Hitting the U.S.A. this summer

I plan on seeing some of my friends this summer who I traveled with last year with Remote Year. Last week I went to see my friend Tim in Austin for five days. It was my first time to Austin, really Texas, which has such a reputation for being a cool place to hang and eat and I can agree. Most of the people I met were in their 20’s and 30’s, I did feel a bit old there (sort of like my trip with Remote Year). I actually did not use my camera during this trip which is a first for me too. The places we hit were more social than anything else and not so much photography. Weather was a bit strange as it was extremely hot and then rained a ton too. Next week I am going back to New York to visit my friends and my storage units too. In mid July it’s Seattle with my nephew for a week, San Francisco to visit more friends and then back to New York for an undisclosed amount of time.

Now that I am living in South Florida (not the cool area) I have settled in to working on my photos from my past year and a half of travel. Reaching out to the companies I currently do business with to see if I can get them to carry more of my work and also figuring out who else and which companies can carry my work too. A few months back Neiman Marcus started carrying some of my Lifeguard Chair Photos which is a great addition to my resume of large retailers. Now I am not sure if someone in Russia saw my photos there or they found it at my website  but there was an article about my Lifeguard Chairs in Russia.

In the past month of so I have been in a number of articles about my Vertical Church photo and my Series on Libraries. I am listing below many of them for you to take a look at. For others who are interested in finding out how to get yourself promoted, I use Boredpanda as a launching site for many of my series. There are so many sites that work for photographers but for me this is my go to site to start out at as I have had so much success here. So because of my post at Boredpanda, Lonely Planet picked up my article then BUZZFEED did too. So because of Buzzfeed I aquired over 2,500 new followers on my Instagram account. ( My take on Instagram: I am fascinated as how I do not have many followers with my strong presence in the travel sector and so many articles being written on my work. But a single article like Buzzfeed gets me double the followers in one single day-Just Personal Frustration)
