Since September 10th I have been back in Florida, back from my summer in New York visiting my friends. I arrived in Florida in late May and stayed here till late June and going back to New York as I did last year, sort of couch surfing and staying at all of my friends homes and apartments. I did manage to get some traveling in too – Punta Delgada, Turkey and Israel for a three week trip in late July into August. That trip was with a few of my Remote Year friends from Meraki (I traveled with Meraki for 2017 with RY).
This really has been the longest time away from writing here and I am sorry if you missed me (ego). Like the saying goes, “time flies when you’re having fun” but I have been busy trying to organize my Photo business lately with some pretty cool things going on right now. My “Vertical Church” are part of a Museum show in Zurich and I am one of the featured photographers at a photo Festival in Monopoli, Italy. Both started in early September and run through November, the museum show runs until March of 2020.
First the museum show. The exhibition is “Knowledge in Images – Information Design Today” and it is at the Museum Gestaltung in Zurich, Switzerland. Six of my Vertical Church photos are part of the exhibit. I am going to go see the show from October 28-30th if anyone is around the area.
The PhEST Photo Festival is happening in Monopoli, Italy and runs through November 3rd. I am also going to see my photos from October 25-26th if anyone is in Monopoli. This show I am extremely excited about as my photos are printed 25-30 feet high in two locations, one of them is a church.
So here is my schedule. NY from October 21-24, 25th for 3 days to see my photos in the PhEST Photo Festival, 28-30th Zurich, fly to Bali and arrive on November 1st, stay in Canggu for at least two weeks till November 16th, then figure it out from there. I will probably stay in Bali for a bit then hope to travel through South East Asia till about February. If you have any questions about Remote Year, again, feel free to ask me any time.
