FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM @RICHARDSILVERPHOTO I am currently in Paros, Greece in a house run by Remote Year called a "Citizen House". This is where multiple Remote Year alumni get together outside of a RY program with other citizens (people who have completed a RY program become citizens) to hang out and party somewhere in the world. For Paros, the location is a three week getaway but I am only here for two of the three weeks. There are about 25 people in the Villas, three villas in total, on the same property, pretty close to what we would need on the...

FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM @RICHARDSILVERPHOTO Last time I posted I was still in Morocco, well I am now in Portugal in the Azores for a few days from Lisbon and the month is almost over. Lisbon is my home for the month of March. I said I was heading to Essaouira, Morocco which I did along with Agidar which is another Moroccan beach town. Just loved Essaouira, so relaxing a place after spending so much time in Marrakesh. I also enjoyed Marrakesh more than I thought I would, being in the Medina as much as I was turned out to be much...

FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM @RICHARDSILVERPHOTO When we last left off I was still in Cape Town for a few more days. It is unfortunate for me that I am so spoiled that I sort of lose out on the special feelings of being in a great city but do not get the feeling of it being more then the everyday to me. This is not the first time this has occurred and it is an experience that I have to recognize and try and open up more (sounds like a personal problem to me). Ok then...

FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM @RICHARDSILVERPHOTO I just got back from 9 days in Cuba which was amazing. This was my second time but last time I only went to Havana for four days, this time I went to see Havana, Ceinfuegos, Vinales and Trinidad. The trip was a tour that was with Cuban Adventures which I highly recommend for anyone thinking of heading there. The tour guide Yenni was so sweet, informative and just made the trip a wonderful experience. This was a last minute trip before my next trip with Remote Year which starts for me on December...

Do you follow me on Instagram yet? You should @richardsilverphoto By far my favorite thing about Mexico is the food, it is incredible. Not a huge fan of spicy food but the amount of flavor in Mexican foods are only rivaled by Spain and Japan. On this trip back to Mexico City I only stayed for the first day and last two days of my journey to see "Dia del Muertos", Day of the Dead in Oaxaca. This trip was run by Remote Year which happens to be my first trip with RY outside of my year long travel with them...

FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM @richardsilverphoto This was my second time to Bolivia, last time I went was in 2013. I love Bolivia's landscape of mountains and colorful scenery. Have you been to Bolivia? The highest elevation capital city in the world is La Paz at an average of 12,000 feet. Are you familiar with Altitude Sickness? Have you ever experienced it? Well if you are apt to experience it or if you have ever had it Bolivia is a great place for it. This time I flew into Cochabamba at a bit over 8,400 feet so I was only slightly light on...

FOLLOW ME ON INSTAGRAM @richardsilverphoto Going to New York as a visitor is kind of a difficult thing for me to wrap my head around. This was my 2nd time in NY visiting and staying at other peoples apt's, homes, couches and extra bedrooms. When I did it for July 4th week I stayed in Battery Park city at my friend Pat's apartment. I did appreciate all of the new completed construction, new shopping areas along with so many new restaurants. She also lives close to the World Trade Center site so I was able to see the finished Oculus built by...

After traveling for 1.5 years I am finally back home in Florida. I was supposed to be in South America until May 21st but I decided to cut my trip short for some personal reasons. My original travel plans from London were first to Bolivia then to Sao Paulo. Bolivia was to meet a woman that I met in Argentina in May of 2017 (we also traveled together for 17 days through southeast Asia in November) but she is now in a serious relationship so there was no reason for me to go there. Sao Paulo was to visit my...

Don't forget to Follow me on Instagram @richardsilverphoto Go to my website www.richardsilverphoto.com It is late January and most of the group has gone our separate ways for a while already. Many people went to Bali, why not, it's Bali and beautiful and easy to stay there. Some people went back to their respected homes, some went to Mexico, New Zealand and Europe. Me, I am in Vietnam for the month of January. A group of us discussed back in November heading to Vietnam in the north to start in Hanoi and then head down south, they all left, I committed to...

Belgrade is hot! Really hot! Everyday it's over 100 degrees. The city doesn't have as much architecture for me to shoot as I was expecting but it does have a few nice churches in Orthodox style painting and mosaics. Food has been fine and the night life is active also. There aren't many Meraki's here as most are traveling and in Croatia and we lost six people this week who dropped out of the program. We started with 77 people and supposedly we are now at only 56. There were a few people that surprised me that have left and...
